Figures released by the Venezuelan Red Cross indicate that, as of July 6, its emergency response had reached at least 3,540 people, while the organization continues to develop additional programs to expand its humanitarian assistance.

According to official data, 3,540 people have received primary healthcare services. In addition, 225 individuals have benefited from Mental Health and Psychosocial Support services, while 1,696 people have used the organization’s Connectivity Points to communicate with relatives and loved ones.

The report also notes that the Venezuelan Red Cross has processed 2,100 requests to help restore contact between family members, and 564 people have so far received humanitarian aid.

Luis Manuel Farías, president of the Venezuelan Red Cross, said the organization is preparing for a medium- and long-term response to the consequences of the June 24 earthquakes.

The humanitarian organization’s current planning horizon extends for at least 24 months. While it has outlined an initial six-week operational plan, Farías emphasized that those plans remain flexible and will adapt to evolving needs on the ground.

Farías also explained that the organization has launched an emergency appeal to raise approximately $65 million to support relief and recovery efforts across Venezuela.

Meanwhile, from Geneva, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) confirmed that it deployed an emergency field hospital to La Guaira over the weekend in collaboration with the Spanish Red Cross, which also contributed medical and healthcare personnel.

According to the official statement, the emergency field hospital will provide primary healthcare services to up to 30,000 people and is expected to become fully operational within the next few days.

Its services will include maternal and child healthcare, vaccination programs, epidemiological and nutritional surveillance, and mental health and psychosocial support. The facility will also include 20 observation beds for overnight patient care.
