The Daily Journal — The Brazilian Embassy in Caracas held a successful meeting with business associations and private-sector representatives to boost economic ties between the two countries.
Venezuelan participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the Brazilian Multisector Business Mission and to identify new strategic investment and cooperation opportunities.
The delegation received support from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APEX-Brasil), as well as 30 sectoral associations and private companies.
Representatives from Brazil’s Ministries of Agriculture, Industry, and Trade also joined the mission, together with officials from the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP).
The high-level gathering fostered a valuable exchange of institutional perspectives on the business environment and the complementary strengths of both nations.
Brazilian delegates held formal meetings with senior Venezuelan government officials, including Vice President for the Economy Calixto Ortega and Foreign Minister Yván Gil.
During the working sessions, participants conducted business roundtables that generated more than 120 direct bilateral meetings between private-sector representatives from both countries.
These technical discussions helped participants assess opportunities for commercial growth in strategic sectors such as hydrocarbons, mining, electricity, infrastructure, transportation, agribusiness, and healthcare.
This multisector initiative reaffirms Brazil’s commitment to advancing a pragmatic and constructive agenda firmly grounded in mutual institutional respect.
Ambassador Glivânia Maria de Oliveira and the Trade and Investment Promotion Section (SECOM) successfully coordinated the mission’s activities.
