The Daily Journal.- The United States Chargé d’Affaires in Venezuela, John Barrett, carried out an inspection visit this Monday to Caracas’ Domingo Luciani and Pérez Carreño hospitals to assess the impact of U.S. humanitarian assistance.
Through a statement published on his official X account, the American diplomat reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to Venezuela’s stabilization and recovery process through cooperation in critical sectors.
“Today, in Caracas, during my visit to Hospital Domingo Luciani and Hospital Pérez Carreño, I was able to see firsthand how medical supplies from the United States are benefiting the Venezuelan people,” Barrett wrote.
The U.S. representative also linked the success of these medical deliveries to the implementation of the geopolitical strategy coordinated by the White House and the State Department under Donald Trump’s administration for the Western Hemisphere.
“President Trump and Secretary Rubio’s three-phase plan has helped restore ties between our countries and strengthen cooperation in fundamental areas,” the official argued in his statement.
Finally, the chargé d’affaires emphasized that this new phase of bilateral diplomacy extends beyond immediate social assistance and encompasses structural sectors “such as energy, electricity generation, and healthcare.”
