The Daily Journal. — The death toll from the June 24 earthquakes has risen to 6,438, according to figures released Monday by Delcy Rodríguez’s administration.
The official report also indicates that healthcare facilities nationwide have treated 86,358 people.
Infrastructure damage assessments and housing allocation
Technical teams have inspected 59,109 properties to determine the extent of the damage. They found 34,680 structures safe for occupancy, placed 13,733 buildings under observation and identified structural damage in 10,696 properties.
As part of its relocation plans, the government reported providing 335 homes to affected families.
On Monday, acting President Delcy Rodríguez handed over 48 apartments at the Ciudad Tiuna housing complex in Caracas.
On road-clearing and cleanup operations in collapsed areas, authorities reported that crews had removed 528,222.30 metric tons of debris, reaching 25.15% of the government’s cleanup target.
